Advices and Queries are intended for use in Monthly Meetings as well as for personal devotions. Some meetings read one section each month… [They] are offered for the comfort and discomfort of Friends, with the hope that we may be more faithful and find deeper joy in God’s service.

Twelve sets of Advices and Queries

from FAITH & PRACTICE OF PACIFIC YEARLY MEETING – 2001

It is the practice of our Meeting to discuss the Advices and Queries during Quaker Explorations on the first Sunday of each month. It is convenient that there are exactly twelve sets, but there is no particular reason why there should be exactly twelve.

The previous edition of Pacific Yearly Meeting’s Faith and Practice, published in 1985, listed eleven sets of Queries.
