Tasks of the Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is responsible for filling vacancies that occur during the year that begins June 1.
Its responsibilities begin at the rise of the September Business Meeting in which its members are approved.
Subsequently, the Committee should find members and attenders willing to serve as officers, committee clerks and committee members for all meeting committees for the fiscal year that begins on the first of June following.
The Committee should prepare a well-formed written slate of all prospective officers, committee clerks and committee members and present this slate to the April Meeting for Business.
This slate will be presented again for final approval at the May Meeting for Business.
The terms of service for officers, committee clerks and committee members begin on the first day of June following approval.
And for good measure, here’s what PacYM Faith and Practice has to say about nominating committees.
